Frederick Remington

Frederick Remington was an American artist. He is best known for his paintings and drawings of the American West. Remington was born in Canton, New York, in 1861. He studied art at the Yale School of Fine Arts. After college, he worked as a newspaper illustrator in New York City. He moved to the West in 1880. He lived there for several years and worked as a cowboy and a rancher.
