The Body

The body of the woman, later identified as Sarah Clearwater, was found by a fisherman on the bank of the Red River. She had been shot in the head, and her body bore signs of torture.

Cash was hired by Sarah's family to find her killer. He began his investigation by talking to Sarah's friends and family. He learned that Sarah had been working as a prostitute, and that she had been involved with a number of dangerous men.

The Investigation

Cash's investigation led him to a local organized crime boss, Johnny Redbird. Johnny was a known associate of Sarah's, and Cash suspected that he was involved in her murder.

Cash confronted Johnny, but Johnny denied any involvement in Sarah's death. He said that he had been out of town on the night of the murder.

Cash didn't believe Johnny, and he continued to investigate. He learned that Johnny had been having an affair with Sarah, and that he had been jealous of her other clients.

Cash also learned that Johnny had been involved in a number of other crimes, including drug trafficking and money laundering. He suspected that Johnny was using Sarah to launder money, and that he had killed her when she threatened to expose his operation.

The Confrontation

Cash confronted Johnny again, this time with evidence of his involvement in Sarah's murder. Johnny confessed to killing Sarah, but he said that he had done it in self-defense. He said that Sarah had tried to kill him, and that he had only shot her to protect himself.

Cash didn't believe Johnny's story, and he arrested him for murder. Johnny was later convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

The Aftermath

The murder of Sarah Clearwater was a tragedy, but it also brought justice to her family. Cash Blackbear's investigation helped to expose the corruption and violence that was plaguing the Red River community.

Cash's work also helped to raise awareness of the plight of Native American women. Sarah Clearwater was one of many Native American women who have been murdered or gone missing in recent years. Cash's investigation helped to shed light on this issue, and it inspired others to take action to protect Native American women.
